School app

A school app that parents and teachers both open every day

The Sckools app is on Android, in your school’s colours. Families sign in with a code from the school, no email needed, and see all their children in one place.

Teachers take the register in taps, even with no signal, and post homework and diary remarks from the same app. Families without Android use the family portal in the browser.

Who it is for

The Sckools app is for the families and teachers of a school, on Android, in the school’s own colours. It replaces the class WhatsApp group and the paper diary with one place for attendance, homework, marks, notices and fees, and it is included in the per-student price.

What each person does with it

Parents

An alert the moment the child is marked absent, before 08:30. Today’s timetable, homework, the diary remark to sign, published marks and the class average, notices and every fee receipt.

Students

The same login as the parent: today’s periods, homework, results and the library books they have out with the date they are due.

Teachers

The day period by period, attendance in taps that works with no signal, homework posted once with who has seen it, and one message thread per child with no personal numbers.

The office

A notice to one class, one grade or everyone arrives as a push notification. The app wears the school’s crest and colours, not ours.

For families

The family app

Android. One login for student and parent. All your children on one shelf. Your school's colours, a code to sign in.

Absence alert

The moment a child is marked absent, the family knows — push and email, before 08:30.

Notices on the phone

A push notification to the right families — one class, one grade, or everyone.

Timetable & marks at home

Today's periods. Published marks. The class average — computed in the database, so nothing else can leak.

Fees in the app

What is due, what was paid, every receipt. Online payment is being added.

Child's library shelf

What your child has out and when it is due — and a way to say “we lost it”.

Notification centre

Everything that reached you — absences, diary, results, fees — in one place.

Sign in with a code

No email needed. A code from the school and the family is in. Reset by code too.

For teachers

Teacher's day

A teacher's day, period by period, with the class list one tap away and yesterday's notes to self.

Attendance in taps

Attendance in taps. Works with no signal and syncs when it finds one. Locks overnight, so yesterday cannot quietly change.

Homework

Post it once. See who has seen it.

Daily diary

A remark home that the family signs on their phone. You see who hasn't.

Teacher–parent messages

One thread per child between the class teacher and home. No WhatsApp groups, no personal numbers.

Apply for leave

Pick the days on a calendar, see your balance, know who covers.

How a school starts

  1. Codes for every family

The school gives each family a code. They install Sckools from Google Play and sign in, no email needed.

  2. We move your data and website, free

Students, classes, staff and fee heads come across from your current system’s export. Your old website stays up until the new one is live on the same address.

  3. We stay on the phone

Through the first week we are on call while your office and teachers start. In the first two months we build the small changes your office asks for, at no charge.

One price per student, per year

Basic ₹60 · Standard ₹90 · Pro ₹120 per student per year, list prices. Everything on this page is in Pro. Hosting, your own domain, updates every month and support are included. Compare the plans.

Questions schools ask

Is there an iPhone app?

The app is on Android today. Families on iPhone use the family portal in the browser, with the same notices, marks, diary and fees.

Do parents need an email address?

No. The school gives each family a code to sign in, and a forgotten password is reset by code too.

Does the app cost extra?

No. The app is included in the per-student price.

Can teachers message parents without sharing their number?

Yes. There is one thread per child between the class teacher and home, with no personal numbers and no WhatsApp groups.

Where do families download it?

From Google Play: search for Sckools, or use the link on this page. Families on iPhone use the family portal in the browser.

Can one parent see two children?

Yes. All of a family’s children sit on one shelf in the app.

Can parents pay fees in the app?

Not yet. Online payment is being added. Today the counter takes cash or UPI, prints a numbered receipt, and the family sees every receipt in the app.

Do homework and the diary come through the app?

Yes. A teacher posts homework once and sees who has seen it. A diary remark goes home in the app, the family signs it on the phone, and the teacher sees who has not.

Will the app look like our school?

Yes. The app and the sign-in page wear your school’s crest, colours and name, not ours.

Where do older alerts go?

Everything that reached a family, absences, diary remarks, results and fees, waits in one notification centre in the app.
